How We Invest

Cutler Capital consistently uses the following investment process:

• We apply a proprietary, value-based screening process to identify investments that meet our criteria.
• We use "bottom-up" fundamental research and quantitative analysis to identify investments with the potential to generate attractive profits.
• We evaluate the underlying company's ability to pay current income.
• We determine and quantify the underlying company's potential for capital appreciation.
• Finally, we select securities we believe will participate when the stock market rises, but remain relatively stable in a down market.

Throughout this process, we incorporate "margins of safety" in security selection decisions. Through company and security analysis, and regular reinvestment of income, we seek to minimize downside risk and enhance total return, whether the market rises or falls.
